I had a sudden inspiration to paint the Fruits of the Spirit last year.  Choosing the fruits to represent the fruits of the Spirit wasn’t easy.  Each fruit created by God possesses its own intrinsic qualities that mirror human virtue and character.

Depicting these fruits for the first time was a daunting task and very challenging as I am still very much an amateur in watercolor.  I prayed often to the Holy Spirit asking Him to teach and guide me in my painting, especially when I was struggling.

To avoid a disaster, I thought it was safer to practise painting some samples before embarking on the final piece.

With the help of the family, these are the fruits we chose, hopefully, to represent the beautiful virtues of the Spirit. May the Lord help us to grow in these virtues of the Fruits of the Spirit.                          By R

The Apple of my eye.  The apple is often used to represent love.  The sweetness of the apple and its reddish glow is like tasting the sweetness of love of our Lord, bringing delight to our soul.

” And over all these virtues put on LOVE, which binds them all together in perfect unity.”  Col 3:13-14  (NIV)

“Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because LOVE covers a multitude of sins.” 1 Peter 4:8  (NIV)
