Light’s Shadows

Gazing out of our window one day, i was struck by the play of light, shadows and colours under the blazing noonday sun on the windows of a tall apartment, about two hundred metres away. What a lovely God-moment!

The sun’s bright rays created distinct shadows under its light.

Under the Son‘s brilliant rays, no shadows are possible. He illuminates every nook and cranny of our physical world, and penetrates into the depths of our spiritual soul. Everything that is hidden is brought forth into His wonderful Light.

Where darkness exists, sin permeates. Only His Light can dispel the darkness of our souls.

“Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.”      John 3:19-21 (NIV)

O Lord, let Your Light shine upon us always. Amen.      By R
