Seed and seeds

I have not seen the tiny mustard seed nor the tree that Jesus referred to. However, i have seen and am amazed at how tiny the petunia seeds are.

Somehow, petunia seeds always remind me of the parable of the mustard seed:

It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest of all seeds on earth. Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants, with such big branches that the birds can perch in its shade.”   Mark 4:31-32  (NIV)

A tiny mustard seed can grow into a tree for birds to nest in. The petunia seed can grow and bloom with so many lovely flowers. And what a joy they are to behold!

Ever since we discovered several years ago that the first petunia plant we bought can adapt and grow well in our hot and humid climate, we have tried propagating them from seeds.

Now, when we are blessed with lots of sunshine, our petunia plants are in full bloom. What a joy to open the door and see the array of colours in full bloom!

May our faith, O Lord, grow like the mustard seed and bring joy and life to others. Amen.       By R

    1. Peace be with you! Thank you for your affirmation. Just yesterday, i was having doubts about whether our blog is what God really wants. We are touched by your words “Little is much when God is in it”. Thank you once again. God bless you!
