Small gate, Narrow road

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.   Matt 7:13-14  (NIV)

The road uphill is strenuous, filled with potholes and precipices. That pretty much sums up our Christian life, it is an uphill task to get to Heaven.

Sometimes, i feel as if i am a salmon, struggling to swim upstream against the rushing waters and being swept along by the ways of the world. The only way to move forward, against the current, is to strive harder, keeping my focus on Jesus.

The movie ‘UP” is meaningful, in a Christian way. In order for the house tied with thousands of balloons to float upwards, the old man Carl found that he had to dispose of his most treasured belongings. Letting go of our attachments in life is so difficult, but the more we let go, the higher up we go, moving closer to Heaven.       By R
