Some years ago, i was quite skeptical when i first saw this bug in an insect museum. Subsequently, rather unexpectedly, i saw this unmistakable bug, hiding not so cleverly among some leaves on a hedge. It was actually a Man-faced Stink Bug.
What a distinct and unique insect! Does it look like Bert – Ernie’s best friend? Or even Elvis? To me, he seems more like a stern-faced samurai saying “bug off!”
Whatever it is, it appears God has this wonderful sense of humour making a creature, an obscure insect, imitate one of his loftier creations – man.
On the other hand, man tries so hard to imitate God. Or worse still, sometimes he tries to play God, who is man’s own Creator. By R
The Lord is high above all nations;
His glory is above the heavens.
Who is like the Lord our God,
Who is enthroned on high,
Who humbles Himself to behold
The things that are in heaven and in the earth? Psalm 113:4-6 (NASB)
Renee,
What a great discovery. Thanks for sharing it with us. Whenever I attempt to play God, I hope I am reminded that makes me a man-faced stink bug. Not what God created me to be!

I’m glad you enjoyed my comment. Sometimes we get stink bugs (common ones) in our house. I will be remember this post every time I see them from now on. I will also ask God to remind me daily of what role I should play in my relationship with Him! Thanks, Renee and Ben.
