Labour to Rest

After rejoining the rat-race jungle out there, every holiday is more than “just another day” for me.  Today is Labour Day.  Since young, I have been wondering why it is a public holiday when it sounds more like a day to slog our hearts out. I also remembered a special “labour-day” for Renee when we were  excitedly awaiting the arrival of our first child.

“Come away by yourselves to a secluded place and rest a while.” Mark 6:31 (NASB)

Dragonfly Labour Day

I’ve learnt a lot from this little dragonfly who took a rest after busily gliding over the water.  We have to quiet down sometimes and rest in the embrace of Jesus, to allow Him to strengthen us for a new journey.       By Ben
