Final Word for us

We were at a garden festival show and this plant attracted me, even though it wasn’t part of any display. It brought to my mind  a Chinese word (田) that matched the shape of the flowers.

As you might know, Chinese characters are logograms, and the shape of the characters are pictographic. A picture paints a thousand word. The top left photo even resembles The Tablets which were brought down by Moses from Mount Sinai: The Ten Commandments.

Jesus is the Word that God the Father spoke. And He is the Final Word as Michael Card sang so beautifully:

“you and me we use so very many clumsy words.
The noise of what we often say is not worth being heard.
When the Father’s wisdom wanted to communicate His love,
He spoke it in one final perfect Word.”

Let us pray that God, through His Holy Spirit, fills us with His Word throughout our lives that we may flower and bear fruits…fruits that will last.  Amen!         By Ben
